World History (9th-10th)

History Made New
High school students engage more deeply with history when it is taught as a living story rather than a list of facts to memorize. This course approaches world history through the lens of real people, powerful ideas, and global events—inviting students not only to learn what happened, but to ask why it mattered.
-
Engaging Stories
Unlike worksheet-driven programs, this class uses the Socratic method, weekly discussions, and critical thinking activities to help students connect the past with current events. Research shows that by ages 12–13, students are ready to analyze, discuss, and debate ideas, not just repeat them. That’s exactly what we’ll do each week together.
-
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, students will not only grasp the major movements and events that shaped the modern world but will also have sharpened their reading, writing, research, and reasoning abilities. Most importantly, they will leave with a deeper appreciation for history and a greater confidence in their ability to think critically and communicate effectively.
Geography (7th-10th Grade)
